This hour-long independent documentary investigates the power behind Jeff Buckley’s musical legacy and finds revelation at its heart–the fans. The film includes rare performances, exclusive video footage and interviews with all four Jeff Buckley Band members, friends, family and colleagues, as well as artists (composer, painter, dancer and singers) who pay tribute to how Jeff inspired them. Produced and directed by first-time filmmakers, the documentary screened at 25 film festivals worldwide (Seattle International Film Festival, Cinequest, CMJ, etc.) and won four awards, including best music documentary and best film.”

Sounds good – sometime I’d love to hear some of the stuff he did with Tom Verlaine. It sounds like they didn’t hit it off (to be fair, I have difficulty imagining where Jeff Buckley’s voice would fit in on something like Marquee Moon, or Tom Verlaine’s guitar on any Jeff Buckley track) but I’d still love to hear what happened when two of my musical heroes met.
Thanks for the introduction to Tom Verlaine, Francis.
Marquee Moon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVFx3vaHxGk) blasted me off planet. It was the first album that really spoke to me.
Looks like TV was just the producer and some of the material went into the posthumous album (http://www.salon.com/entertainment/music/feature/1998/05/27feature.html) – have you heard this?
